4th of July Waterfront Festival

When: July 4th, 2017

Where: Pier 39

Beach Street and The Embarcadero

San Francisco, CA

Witness the skies sparkle red, white and blue as PIER 39 celebrates Independence Day with a day of fun for the whole family! Rock out to live music by WJM on the Entrance Plaza Stage from 1:30-2:15pm, followed by the Bay Area’s favorite cover band Tainted Love – The Best of the 80s Live! from 5-8pm. Bay Area Playwrights Festival

When: July 14th – 23rd, 2017

The Renegade Craft Fair

AIDS Community Walk

When: July 16th, 2017

Where: Sharon Meadow in Golden Gate Park

San Francisco, CA

AIDS Walk San Francisco is a 10K fundraising walk starting and ending in Golden Gate Park.
This year’s event benefits Project Open Hand, Positive Resource Center, the Golden Compass Program at Ward 86 as well as dozens of other HIV/AIDS programs and services in the Bay Area.

Frozen Film Festival

When: July 20th – 23rd, 2017

Where: 588 Sutter Street

San Francisco, CA

The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival is held every summer in the heart of the Mission district in San Francisco at the Roxie Theatre. Filmmakers whose work is accepted into the festival are invited to come to the city by the bay in the dead of summer to screen and discuss their work.

Jewish Film Festival

Where: Various San Francisco Theaters

Films from American and international filmmakers showcase the diversity and vitality of Jewish culture. The festival is the first, oldest and most prestigious celebration of its kind in the world.

Japan Film Festival

When: July 23rd – 31st, 2017

Where: New People Cinema

Japan Film Festival of San Francisco is the first and only fully dedicated annual Japanese film event in the San Francisco Bay Area. Showcasing the latest in anime, live-action and documentaries straight from Japan, this week-long festival will take place in San Francisco’s historic Japantown.
