Stern Grove Festival

Stern Grove Festival Association is a non-profit cultural organization committed to providing the people of the Bay Area with admission-free access to diverse performing arts.

Every year since 1938, the organization presents Stern Grove Festival, an admission-free performing arts series, in Sigmund Stern Grove, a beautiful outdoor amphitheater located at 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco.

In 2018 Stern Grove Festival presents its 81st Season.

Golden Gate Park Band
When: Sundays in July
Where: Golden Gate Park

Concerts are free of charge and take place at the Spreckles Temple of Music in the Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park.

Regular Sunday concerts start at 1:00 p.m. and usually end between 2:30 and 2:45. There is no intermission.

All concerts that feature music of specific nationalities or cultures include costumed guest performers, dancers, singers, and speakers who will enlighten and entertain.

July 4th Celebration at the Pier

Witness the skies sparkle red, white and blue as PIER 39 celebrates Independence Day with a day of fun for the whole family! Start your day with live entertainment on Entrance Plaza Stage featuring Tainted Love — the best of the 80s LIVE! from 3-6pm.  At approximately 9:30pm, look to the sky for the City & County of San Francisco’s spectacular fireworks display.

Many of PIER 39’s water attractions will have special 4th of July Fireworks cruises on July 4.

Art & Garden Festival 2018

The 17th Annual Art & Garden Festival, one of Petaluma’s most loved events will again take place the weekend after Independence Day!  Join us from 11 am to 5 pm, on July 8th, 2018, for a fun filled day for all the family.  Once again we’ll host fine local crafters, artisans, gardeners, live music on two stages and an array of local wineries, breweries, restaurants & fine food purveyors will offer tastings.
This event is free to attend, with Tasting Packages available to partake in all the great wine, craft beer, cocktails and food tasting.

Not the typical street fair, vendors are handpicked quality vendors with creative home and garden décor, jewelry, arts and more. With 145 booths of unusual, unique, handmade items this event has something for everyone’s taste and budget.

The Breastfest Beer Festival

This is a festival organized for the purpose of helping those in need, created in an era in which beer-tasting events were far and few between. The Breastfest has become an elite presence for breweries on the West Coast and beyond, it gives the craft brewing industry a way to create camaraderie for a worthy cause. It’s an event at which beer pioneers and festive attendees join hands and give back to the community committed to beating cancer!

AIDS Walk San Francisco

Since 1987, AIDS Walk San Francisco has raised more than $90 million for HIV programs and services in the Bay Area and has grown into the largest and most visible AIDS Fundraising event in Northern California.
In 2017, thousands of participants, many of whom were members of hundreds of corporate and community teams, raised more than $1.8 million for Project Open Hand, Positive Resource Center, and Ward 86 at San Francisco General Hospital and HIV/AIDS programs and services throughout
the Bay Area.
This year, AIDS Walk San Francisco will continue to benefit dozens of AIDS service, research, and education organizations in the Bay Area. The primary beneficiaries are ACRIA, the world’s leading research organization on HIV and aging; Positive Resource Center; and Project Open Hand.

Botanicals and Brews Beer Garden

San Francisco Marathon

The 41st running of The San Francisco Marathon (Full Marathon, 1st Half Marathon, 2nd Half Marathon, 5K and Ultramarathon) will fill San Francisco’s streets with over 27,500 runners on July 29th, 2018. Runners will enjoy waterfront miles along the Embarcadero, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Crissy Field; feel their heart pound as they race across the Golden Gate Bridge; speed past landmarks like Coit Tower, Golden Gate Park, and AT&T Park; and pound the pavement through San Francisco’s liveliest neighborhoods like Haight-Ashbury and The Mission.
