The Castro Street Fair is a community street celebration that was founded by Harvey Milk in 1974. Hundreds of local artists, vendors, craftspeople, and organizations line the streets and celebrate the diversity of the neighborhood. Stages with live entertainment and dance stages can be found throughout the fairgrounds.
Halloween at Great America

Clancy’s Pumpkin Patch

Clancy’s opened San Francisco’s first Pumpkin Patch in 1979. Visiting the patch in October, you will find pumpkins of all sizes and shapes. Gourds, corn stalks, and indian corn are in abundance.
Take home pumpkins for carving, decorating, and for baking into pies. The selection includes: mini pumpkins, Sugar Pie pumpkins, Cinderella pumpkins, as well as blue, white, and striped pumpkins.
During October Come see the ghosts in our trees, the scarecrows in our patch, and crawl through our hay maze. You can even take a hay ride in the middle of San Francisco!
Fleet Week

Union Street Harvest Wine Walk

The Union Street Association and Steven Restivo Event Services, Inc. are hosting the 7th Annual Union Street Harvest Wine Walk on Thursday October 5th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
The tasting event will include merchants offering wine samples inside their stores throughout Union Street from Gough to Steiner and on Fillmore Street from Union to Lombard.
Attendees wishing to participate in the sampling program may purchase on-site tickets for $25 or advance tickets for $20 via the website. The on-site tickets sales location is 2040 Union Street (across from the Metro Theater). Please note: The last sale of tickets is 7:30 PM.
Whiskey Fest

Sandcastle Classic

This year marks the 35th annual year of the Sandcastle Classic on Ocean Beach, the biggest sandcastle competition in Northern California.
Teams of architects, engineers, contractors, designers, corporations, and local elementary school students work together to build giant sand sculptures. The funds raised by teams and sponsors make it possible for Leap to continue to provide arts programs to Bay Area students.
