Happy Thanksgiving!

As a family and marriage therapist in San Francisco I am so thankful that I can help people with their relationships. This work fulfills me and for that I am thankful too.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and can take the time to take stock of all that you are thankful for too. There are so many wonderful ways to say thanks, here are some of my favorites. Maybe some of them will speak to you like they do to me.

Blessings!

A Thanksgiving Prayer by Rabbi Naomi Levy

For the laughter of the children,

For my own life breath,

For the abundance of food on this table,

For the ones who prepared this sumptuous feast,

For the roof over our heads,

The clothes on our backs,

For our health,

And our wealth of blessings,

For this opportunity to celebrate with family and friends,

For the freedom to pray these words

Without fear,

In any language,

In any faith,

In this great country,

Whose landscape is as vast and beautiful as her inhabitants.

Thank You, God, for giving us all these.  Amen.

Thanksgiving Blessing by Rabbi Rami Shapiro

Enveloped in Your Light, may I be a beacon to those in search of Light.
Sheltered in Your Peace, may I offer shelter to those in need of peace.
Embraced by Your Presence, so may I be present to others.

Prayer of Thanks by Ralph Waldo Emerson

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food,
For love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends

Thank You Childhood Blessing

Thank you for the world so sweet,
Thank you for the food we eat.
Thank you for the birds that sing,
Thank you God for everything.
